When safe
to do so, take photographs and/or movies of:

the
accident scene and vehicles involved.

both
drivers' licenses and insurance documents.

any
witnesses' vehicles (saves writing down particulars)
-
the
approaches to the accident scene if appropriate.
Don't
leave the scene of an accident until you are fully aware of what has
occurred and you have spoken with the other driver and local police.
Both
parties may sketch the accident on their respective Accident Report
Form, even though
both drivers may be
at a loss for words.
Always
remember not to admit any liability and only sign the Accident
Report Form when you are sure that you understand the situation. This
document is a way to ensure that the correct information has been
exchanged between those who are involved in the accident.
Any claim
will difficult if you are
involved in an accident with a driver from abroad - even in the UK.
You may even come into conflict with the other party due to
communication misunderstandings.
Each
downloadable/printable Accident Report Form contains an English Accident Report
A4 sheet and another A4 sheet in the foreign language of your choice with
identical contents for each party to complete in their own language
- even if they cannot commumicate with other.
The Accident Report forms will help to assert your claim as you can
record all relevant data and the other party has an
appropriate document for their insurance, where they can fill in all
neccessary information in their language.
In the case of an accident:

Fill in
your details as Vehicle
A on
both forms in english. *

Ask the other party to fill
Vehicle
B on
both forms in their language. *

Both
parties should ideally sign both forms in the spaces provided.

You
retain the english language form for your insurers, the other
party their language form.
